Cup, 2025 Season Format Here is the final format to start the
Cup points season. 1.
Cup season starts 1st tournament in March. 2.
Three flights set each week same as net. 3.
Minimum number of players with handicaps to have a
Cup points tournament is 30. Any amount less is just a regular tournament. No
points for that week. 4.
The existing regular and major points system shall
be used. 5.
End of regular season Aug 25th. Depending on
rainouts, etc. 6.
Finalize places in flights to be set by index at end
of regular season. 7.
Top 20 in each flight gets into playoffs. Be aware,
there was 101 players who got points last year. 8.
Three-week playoff using Cup points total to
determine flight champions. 9.
Two-week tournament with flight champions using
total net scores format to determine overall Finals Champion. 10.
Payout totals to be determined by Cup committee and
club treasurer. 11.
Mark will be responsible for posting Cup points each
week. 12.
No tee box changes during Cup points season for
players turning age 62 or 80. This keeps indexes and handicaps fair. 12.1.
This rule will be enforced effective 1st tournament
in March. 13.
Top 60 in Total points will determine Flights. Be aware, as we get further into the
season, we will look at any changes to be made. This format will be incorporated into
the By-Laws as soon as they are updated. Again, this is the final format that
will be used for 2025. I want to thank the members, the committee, and the
